PLA filament black 1 kg, Czech manufacturer Abaflex More

PLA Filament from the Czech manufacturer Abaflex

PLA - it is a material of higher strength, it is well printable, the only disadvantage is lower temperature resistance - it cannot withstand immersion in hot water, loses its strength above 60°C and softens around 80°C.
It belongs to hard and brittle materials.

The recommended PLA printing temperature is 210 – 225°C. The higher the temperature, the higher the shine of the product.

You can print small and detailed models as well as large ones from PLA. We recommend this material for beginners.

ADVANTAGES OF ABAFLEX FILAMENT:

  • czech product made on a Czech production line
  • precise diameter with maximum stability
  • excellent roundness
  • guaranteed color fastness
  • when unwinding the ABAFLEX filament, the individual threads will never cross, so the unwinding will not get stuck
  • winded on an eco-friendly paper spool
  • we use raw materials exclusively from Western Europe and North America from suppliers with guaranteed quality and stability of each production batch
  • you can print both small and detailed models and large prints from PLA

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS:

If you are not printing, keep the filament dry and out of direct sunlight (e.g. in a box, in a resealable bag together with a "dried" moisture absorber)

When handling the spool, secure the free end of the filament so that the filament does not unravel by itself. You can insert the loose end anywhere around the circumference of the paper roll into the "wave" in the cardboard side.

When 3D printing with all filaments from all manufacturers, we always recommend using a "filament cleaner = cleaning filter", this filter wipes dust and other possible impurities from the surface of the filament. Due to the electrostatic charge, dust particles and other mechanical impurities can stick to the surface of the unwrapped filament and consequently there is a risk of clogging the nozzle.

Tips for PLA filament

  1. How to surface finish PLA?
  2. How to glue PLA?
  3. How to store and dry filament?

ADVANTAGES:

  • simple settings for printing
  • biodegradable material
  • hardness and toughness
  • slight shrinkage during printing
  • suitable for printing larger models
  • soluble in sodium hydroxide

DISADVANTAGES:

  • fragility
  • low heat resistance (softens at a temperature of 50°C)
  • unsuitable for outdoor use
  • harder to grind

RECOMMENDED PRINT SETTINGS:

  • recommended mat temperature: 40-60°C
  • recommended nozzle temperature for normal printing: 210 ± 15°C
  • recommended printing profiles: Prusament PLA, Generic PLA
  • we recommend applying 3D LAC to the printing mat
  • use dried filament when printing
  • with a higher temperature, you will achieve a higher gloss and the possibility of faster printing. When printing fragmented and complex products, it is advisable to reduce temperature and speed
