eSUN Hard and Tough resin

This is a resin with high strength, high hardness and high toughness similar to ABS fiber.

Hard-Tough Resin is a urethane-acrylate photosensitive resin suitable for LCD printers. --->>> (Print settings and instructions below)

Experiments have shown that a 3D model printed with eSUN's Hard-Tough Resin product, such as a gear wheel, can resist high impact forces and other mechanical pressures demanding strength.

For example, hammer impacts were used to test the toughness of the resin, where the model did not break even after several blows.

This resin was created for an area of use where the material must withstand extremely high stress and deformation.

To ensure good quality and stability is manufactured by eSUN from high-quality raw materials with the following advantages:

1. High impact strength

2. Higher impact resistance than normal resin

3. Solid resin, excellent mechanical properties such as hardness, tensile and bending strength

4. High surface hardness and wear resistance

Resin Properties:

  • Wavelength ( printers) -> 395 - 405 nm
  • Density -> 1.10 - 1.15 g/m3
  • Viscosity (at 25°C) -> 200 - 300 MPa·s
  • Hardness -> 81 ShoreD
  • Tensile strength -> 55 - 60 Mpa
  • Elongation at break -> 30 - 50%
  • Flexural strength -> 70 - 80 Mpa
  • Impact resistance -> 67-100 J/m

Print settings:

  • Usable wavelength: 395-405nm
  • Operating temperature: 18-35 °C
  • Exposure time: 20-30s on bottom layer, 8s on normal layer
  • Please adjust the settings if you don't get the best print result, this is just a recommendation.

Instructions for use:

  1. Before use:
    • Shake the liquid resin before use
    • Clean the resin tray and molding platform so light can easily pass through the FEP film of the resin tank
    • Wear gloves and stay in a ventilated environment
  2. When printing:
    • Unscrew the resin cap and pour it into the resin tray according to the printer instructions
    • Select the correct print parameters and settings for printing</li >
  3. After use:
    • After printing, use appropriate post-processing tools including:
        spatulas for removal from the mat
    • diagonal support pliers
    • tweezers
    • gloves
    • isopropyl alcohol - cleaning solution< /li>
    • curing chamber or UV LED lamp (wavelength between 360-405 nm)
    • oven
    • Remove the printed model from the molding platform with a spatula;
    • Immerse the model in a cleaning solution, rinse or sonicate for 1 minute (< strong>NO LONGER), then remove;
    • Immerse the model completely in distilled water, LED lamp or exposed to sunlight;
    • Place the model in the oven, heat to 50°C for 20 minutes and then slowly cool to room temperature;
    • Process - remove support, polish, stain, etcPost-processing steps:
      • Store at room temperature and protect from light to avoid high temperature or sunlight.
      • Recommended printing temperature is 18-35°C, low temperature may affect the final print quality, resin can be preheated before use (not more than 60°C).Precautions:
  4. pigment settles in the resin, it can be used after mixing or shaking.
  5. To ensure ideal material properties it is necessary to control the intensity and time of the light source for curing, therefore it is recommended:
    • The intensity of the mercury lamp or UV LED light source is 5-10 mW/m2 and the curing time should not exceed 1 hour
    • Exposure time in the sun (in summer) is around 1 hour;
